#11) Place the post-sale actions above the fold in the menu or in the header


Group account-related features under the Account icon.

So, for example, the Order Tracking doesn’t need to be a separate menu item.
On desktop, clicking the account can open a panel with either a few links, or just mentioning what you’ll have access to once logged in, such as:
  • Log In
  • Join
  • My Account
  • My Orders
  • Set Up Return
  • Wish List
I believe this simplifies the shopper’s experience on your store, as opposed to having all these links separately.
On mobile, the account icon can simply bring the user to the Log In / Join page first.
